The coin, of unknown mintage, was put into circulation on December 27, 1943. Its designer was Pinkus Szwarc, and its engraver was Morduch Glezer.
Variety 8/3 - deeply minted both sides, on the obverse there are horizontal indentations between the star and the letter G, also visible between the remaining letters, on the reverse: at least some pieces of this variety were stamped in early use, on which there is no visible thickening under the letter K in the word MARK, reaching the letter R.
Aluminum, weight 2.60 grams, diameter 28.1 mm, thickness 1.9 mm, smooth rim
