A variety with the date in the rim, ort deficient, but with well-preserved details for this Cracow issue, a variety with inscription ends: SV/POLON 1658 and the letters T.L.-B (Titus Livius Boratini) between the shields of the coat of arms.
Cracovian sixpences of this vintage are among the rare and sought-after numismatic coins minted during the Swedish Deluge, after a gap of several years between 1650 and 1656. The first sixpences were minted at the Lviv mint in 1656, and another two years later, after the liberation of the city from Swedish hands at the Cracovian mint under Boratini's administration in 1658. A distinctive feature of these coins is the lack of a denomination marking at the bottom of the crown, although this piece has a struck dash, as if wishing to strike the denomination.
