John III Sobieski (1674-1696), ort 1677 SB, Leliwa coat of arms, Bydgoszcz.

A rarer type of coin, for this king minted in predominantly sixpences, orts only in 1677-79 and 1684, later vintages 1685 and 1686 are practically not found in trade.

obverse: bust of the king in robe and laurel wreath on his head, letters SB and legend in the rim JOAN.III D.G REX POL.M.D.L.R.P.

reverse: crowned five-field shield, on the sides denomination (1-8) and S-B (Santi de Urbani Bani) inscription MON.NOVA.ARG.(Leliwa)REG.POLON.1677

silver, weight 5.63 grams, diameter 28.5 mm
