Jagiellonians, Sigismund I the Old (1506-1548), denarius minted in 1547, Gdansk mint.

Obverse: EAGLE OF THE KING'S PRUSS (a hand with a sword behind the eagle's head).

Reverse: the HERB of the CITY OF GDANSK (on the sides separated by the abbreviated date 4 - 7).

Diameter 11.6 mm Weight 0.22 g

A coin with a pleasant presence, dark patina. One of the few dated denarii of this ruler. The coin comes in an envelope with a description of the legend, diameter and weight, and the characteristic features of the coin.
