Jagiellonians, Sigismund I the Old (1506-1548), penny minted in 1535, Gdansk mint
Obverse:✿SIGIS⁎I⁎REX⁎PO⁎DO⁎TOCI⁎PR
Reverse:✿GROSSVS⁎CIVI⁎DANC3⁎I535.
Silver, diameter 22.5 mm, weight 1.65 grams
A very rare coin with a three-leafed flower as the finial of the reverse. So far noted only in the Gdansk Mint of Marian Gumowski, in later catalogs of the coins of Sigismund the Old this variant does not appear. Numismatic very nicely preserved with mint luster background. Variant with the old type of the ruler's bust and the ending of the PR legend. The coin comes in an envelope with a description of the legend, the diameter and weight, and the characteristic features of the particular coin.
