Jagiellonians, Sigismund II Augustus (1548-1572), trojak 1565 "Mock", Tykocin mint, NGC AU53
A trojak minted in 1565 at the Tykocin mint. Nicknamed the "mockingbird" trojak because of its legend.
The legend uses a passage from Psalm 2:4 "QVI HABITATIN COELIS IRRI DEBIT EOS" ("He who dwells in the heavens laughs at them").
Variety with the end of the legend inscription ...L, Rare coin, Tyszkiewicz valued it at 15 marks in gold,
while the common thalers of Sigismund III Vasa at 6 marks. Coin still sought after by collectors, in any condition.

reverse: inscription QVI/HABITAT IN/COELIS IRRI/DEBIT EOS in four lines ending with a triple leaf ,
at bottom: royal monogram of Sigismund Augustus separating the date 15 - 65, begun and ended with a three-leaf.
