Olaf Skötkonung (Treasurer)also known as Olaf Eiríksson, was the first Christian king of Sweden. The son of Swedish King Eric the Victorious and Sigrid Storråda (Swietoslava), daughter of Prince Mieszko I. Olaf also betrothed his daughter Ingegerda to Jaroslav I the Wise.
In 1008. Olof Skötkonung was baptized by St. Siegfried in Husaby. According to legend, Olof's death in the winter of 1021/2 was the result of his refusal to sacrifice to pagan gods. He was later canonized as St. Olaf of Sweden.
